The Story behind the farm

The English Lavender Farm, run by Sue and Derek Owen, was opened to the public for the first time in the summer of 2014. We have been planting Angustafolias (English Lavenders) since 2012 and are planning to turn our lavender farm into a luxurious venue for weddings and other events.

Our farm is set on a gently sloping hillside and there are stunning vistas of row upon row of purple lavender. We have spent time in Provence with French lavender farmers and can give you interesting explanations of the history of lavender production. Our drying barn serves also as a gift shop and it is well-stocked with a wide variety of hand made lavender products produced on the farm and we offer U-Pick lavender, wreath and wand making as well as the opportunity to just sit and take in the view when the lavender is in full bloom.

We distill our own naturally grown lavender oil and we use it to create lavender candles, lotions, bath salts and other wonderful fragranced products.
