Lavender adds a uniquely rich and yet delicate flavour to a number of foods if used sparingly and carefully. In case you are feeling a little sceptical about its potential as a recipe ingredient, we can assure you that it won’t taste like your grandmother’s soap or perfume. Like rosemary and thyme, it adds a fresh and distinctive flavor that you often can’t absolutely pin down but you will definitely come to enjoy. There are a number of good cookbooks available which focus on this aromatic and versatile herb and we have reproduced a small number of these as well as a few of our own to get you started. If you enjoy these then we recommend you investigate the following cookbooks which are available on our products page:

The Lavender Cookbook by Sharon Shipley ISBN: 0-7624-1830-3
Discover Cooking with Lavender by Kathy Gehrt ISBN: 0-615-30696-9
