Our English Lavender Farm Essential Oil is pure, sweet, layered and very pleasing.  We distil only the flower spikes from English Lavender ((Lavandula angustifolia not Lavandin or Lavandula x Intermedia).

It is naturally distilled here on the farm using steam in a traditional copper stil which captures each tiny droplet of essential oil from the lavender plants.  Our pure oil is not combined with any carrier oil or diluted with any other ingredient.  In general terms, English Lavender plants give an essential oil with a sweeter overtone; Lavandins or Lavendula x-Intermedia yield a similar essential oil, however, these plants have higher levels of terpenes and therefore their oils have a slightly more camphorous aroma. The oil content of Lavandins and Intermedias is generally higher than that of the English Lavenders, making the English Lavender essential oil higher priced (and therefore more rare) on the market.

Lavender essential oil can be added to a bath to promote relaxation, soothe sore muscles, or treat skin issues (acne, minor cuts or burns, sunburn, etc.), or it can be dropped into a vaporizer to help coughs or respiratory issues. Lavender essential oil is one of the safest oils and can be used directly on skin as an antiseptic and pain reliever, or be applied to minor burns or insect bites and stings.

Opening a little blue bottle of our English Lavender Farm Essential Oil will instantly remind you of balmy summer days and gently relax you as you breathe in its wonderful aroma.

Sold either as a 10 ml bottle or a 5 ml bottle.

Here's how you might think about using your lavender essential oil:

IN YOUR BATHTUB:

Our English Lavender essential oil is great for soothing tired, aching muscles, relaxation, and stress relief. Just add a few drops (use your nose as a guide but perhaps 6 - 10 drops would be about right) after running the water and stir the water with your arm. You could try adding the drops to a cupful of Epsom salts and then putting that in the bath; we find this sometimes helps to disperse the oil in the water.

IN THE SHOWER:

You can add a few drops of essential oil to your shampoo for a delightful lavender shower-the steam carries the scent all around you and helps you to feel relaxed and pleasantly sleepy before bed.  Some people also use drops of lavender oil in the corners of the shower floor for the same lavender aroma while showering.

AS AN AIR FRESHENER:

Fill the top dish of an essential oil diffuser or a vaporizer with warm water and add a few drops of lavender essential oil. Place a lighted tea light candle in the space underneath the dish. This technique is especially good when you have a cold or are feeling under the weather. Keep the burner away from draughts and open windows.

FOR MASSAGE:

Using lavender essential oil with your favorite base massage oil is a particularly effective way to receive the benefits of the oil.  Whether you have tight and sore muscles, are under stress, or have sustained an injury, the oil will be absorbed quickly into the blood stream this way and may provide relief and relaxation.

ON A TISSUE:

This is great for immediate relief from a cold, blocked nose, or moments of sudden anxiety. Add a few drops to a tissue and inhale deeply.

FOR TIRED FEET:

After a busy day on your feet or after a long flight add 6-10 drops to a bowl of warm water and Epsom Salts and soak your feet for about fifteen minutes.

USE ESSENTIAL OIL SAFELY

Keep out of the reach of children

For external use only

Avoid contact with eyes

Start small - a few drops are usually enough

Keep essential oil away from fire hazards

Pure lavender essential oil is generally considered by most qualified aromatherapists as safe to use undiluted on the skin. However, essential oils are highly concentrated and severe sensitivity or allergic reaction could still occur in some individuals so, the safest rule of thumb is to use our essential oil diluted and in small amounts until you are confident that you suffer no ill effects.

I have tried dozens of Lavender essential oils for my aromatherapy work over the years and this one is, by far, my absolute favorite. The intention and care that Derek and Sue infuse into their farm and their entire distillation process yields such a beautiful, superior product. My husband and I are completely in love with it!

I can honest to God say, this is THE BEST smelling lavender oil on earth. I first bought some of the English Lavender Farm's oil in 2014 and I have been a returning customer since. The quality is so rich and good that it lasts a long time. I can't even describe how wonderful the smell is but I promise it is a purchase you won't regret.

Heavenly scent! So wonderful that the lavender comes from their fields, they distill it and bottle it. No outside processing. Truly a work of art.

I thought the price was a bit high when I bought the oil a year ago but I put a little dab behind my ears every day and still have half a bottle left. It really makes you feel fresh first thing in the morning and lasts all day. Love it

This is wonderful. I watched the owner distilling essential oil at the farm in an old fashion copper still - its a really fascinating process and he told me that they age it for 1 year. I've never had a lavender oil that smells this close to the actual plant. Using it daily to help me sleep.

I am diffusing this oil in my house right now. We also use it topically on the bottom of our children's feet right before they go to bed. Our 3 year old requests it in her baths. This is truly a high quality pure oil, worth every penny!
